Localization project manager (Houston, TX) Managing assigned projects and maintaining responsibility for the planning, execution, tracking, delivery and closure of such projects, using Welocalize standard processes and tools. Creating and managing project schedules. Creating and managing project quote and budget (budget to actual management). Ensuring all finance systems data is accurate and kept up to date. Establishing strong relationships with both internal and external (vendor) resources. Providing a regular status to client and EPM or Enterprise Program Director (EPD) on project progress. Operating with a medium level of support and intervention from the EPM/EPD, including recognizing and escalating in a timely manner, any issues beyond their control. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customer contacts at the project level, with measurable success in customer ratings. Working with the production team/EPM/EPD in the continuous improvement of project delivery and profitability. Taking responsibility for personal development in the PM role by working closely with the EPM on development goals in line with the project management office (PMO) capabilities and competencies, demonstrating rapid learning and becoming measurably more autonomous as experience is gained. As a member of the Welocalize PMO, playing an active role in the development of the PMO and participating in PMO initiatives. Operations process coordinator (New York City, NY) Ensure that project estimates and project intake request from clients receive a timely response by monitoring mailbox and handling the initial step of entering cases into the project management system. Frequent data entry into the project management system. Monitoring project submissions via client portal, and responding to client to acknowledge request. For portal projects, provide estimates, delivery dates, and deliveries to clients, and communicate with client at each step. When required, cover the mailbox of Business Development colleague when out of the office to ensure clients request for quotes and intakes receive timely attention. Use judgement to determine if project or estimate request is a rush; bring rushes to the attention of the team and ensure they are handled immediately. Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports of pre-defined operational data. Provide ad hoc reports in Excel – strong Excel skills required.
