Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assigning translation projects to the team of translators.

  • Address any questions, concerns, or changes of scope that may come up during a translation activity.

  • Coordinate with other departments viz. engineers, content writers, etc.

  • Develop and execute highly innovative internal communications strategies, messages, and tactics to engage a dynamic virtual employee base in multiple languages.

  • Track project status to ensure those project deadlines are met.

  • Putting together the teams of freelance translators and editors based on project needs.

  • Accurately share data and files between translators and cross-functional teams and keep the project log up to date.

  • Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with translators and proofreaders globally.

  • Source suitable translators and other language professionals.

  • Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities of potential overseas companies or businesses.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, knowledge of foreign languages would be an asset.

  • Proven working experience in project management is necessary.

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in translation project management or as a translation coordinator.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects within a given time frame.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate within all levels of the Company, as well as with overseas contacts.

  • Highly-developed computer skills.
