Job Description

Responsibilities:

Work with the Healthcare team to ensure accurate and complete translation of Medicare regulated documents (EOC, ANOC and Summary of Benefits) into Spanish within our Messagepoint tool

 

Customer projects

  • Translate customer specific language in Medicare regulated documents
  • Ensure efficient and timely delivery of translation services
  • Where required, interact with customer translation services

Team leadership

  • Manage a team of 1-4 Translators
  • Support the talent acquisition of additional Translators for customer projects.
  • Develop and perform training of additional/contract Translators to utilize the Messagepoint tool for translation of customer specific language in Medicare regulated documents
  • Co-ordinate assignments of additional/contract translators to specific customer projects
  • Review translated documents to ensure accuracy and quality of translation services

Ensure all translation has appropriate and industry standardized language

 

Ensure compliance with all CMS requirements and Messagepoint specific policies and procedures

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5-10 years of experience leading a translation teams and/or interpretation teams is required
  • Proven ability to work in a technical environment utilizing related technology is required
  • Experience in the translation of Medicare regulated documents is mandatory
  • Complete and expert fluency in English is mandatory
  • Complete and expert fluency in Spanish is mandatory
  • Experience with additional languages, especially Mandarin, is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines is needed
  • A clear writing style with an impeccable knowledge of spelling and grammar in multiple languages is mandatory
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Technical skills and aptitude – learn, understand, and support the use of new tools
  • Experience working in project teams to deliver documents, both default language and translated language(s)
  • The ability to build good relationships with clients
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively and across teams to achieve system and process improvements
  • Demonstrated management skills, including general management and people management
  • Track record in leading teams through a time of change
